RAKSHA BANDHAN

Class 5th of Mahapragya Public school,Kalbadevi celebrated Raksha Bandhan under the guidance of class teacher Mrs. Urvi Parikh. The idea is to present the bond between sister and brother. The event started with Navkar mantra, lighting of the lamp & to take the blessings of the Almighty. Students expressed view about how the Raksha Bandhan is celebrated in different states like Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Punjab and Gujarat.

A beautiful energetic dance on song Dil se bandhiekdor was wonderfully performed by the students. Representing, Telangana State, students performed on a folk song as well.

The audience really enjoyed the drama ‘Brinjal Curry – folk tale. Student spoke about state ‘Telangana’. It was very informative. The main attraction of the event was that few students’ mothers tied the rakhis to their brother. It was a poignant moment for all. The class teacher also missed her brother and one of the parent – guest obliged her. Later, they sang a song which was so melodious and that had many eyes wet. The Principal and parents were very happy with the talent showcased by the students. The programme ended with the vote of thanks and National Anthem.

Message of brotherhood…….. Gone to the street

Class 5 students Raksha Bandhan took to the streets. It was very interesting. It was once again poignant moment for the poor when the girl tied Rakhi on wrists. They were truly touched by this gesture of the students of MPS.

One person felt bad as he did not have a smart phone by which photos could be sent to him. The principal promised him to give photographs of this wonderful moment.

PREPRIMARY SECTION

The tiny tots of the preprimary section made baskets, shapes hands & rakhi out of paper. They also had the traditional way of celebrating Raksha Bandhan with each other. Girls tied rakhis on the boys’ hands & boys had gifts/ chocolates for them. It was also interesting when elder siblings joined the little ones in their festivities.
